Privacy

Introduction

We respect your privacy and process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO/GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). This Privacy Policy explains which personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

Data Controller

Name: Your Company / Website Owner (replace with your legal entity)
Contact: privacy@your-domain.example (replace with your real contact email and postal address)

Personal data we collect

  • Email address: collected when you sign up, contact us, or join a waitlist.
  • Technical/usage data: collected via hosting and analytics such as page visited, timestamp, browser metadata and anonymized or truncated IP address depending on provider settings.
  • No other categories of personal data are collected unless you provide them voluntarily.

Purposes and legal bases for processing

  • Service delivery and communication: providing services, responding to inquiries, and account management — legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and/or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Newsletters / marketing: sending newsletters or marketing communications — legal basis: explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Analytics, security and site operation: improving the website and securing it — legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) unless consent is required and obtained.

Storage and processors

Your emails and related contact data are stored in Supabase (data processor). The site is hosted on Vercel; we use Vercel Analytics for usage and performance metrics. We will enter into Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with processors where required. Some processors may transfer data outside the EU/EEA; if so, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or rely on an adequacy decision where applicable.

Cookies and tracking

Vercel Analytics and similar services may set cookies or collect request metadata. We use analytics to understand and improve site performance; we minimize tracking and favor privacy-preserving analytics where possible. You can opt out of analytics tracking using your browser settings, by blocking cookies, or via any opt-out mechanism we provide. Blocking cookies may impair site functionality.

Retention periods

Email addresses and contact data: retained as long as necessary to provide the service, send requested communications, comply with legal obligations, or until you request deletion or withdraw consent.
Analytics / log data: retained in aggregated or anonymized form; raw logs or metadata are kept only as long as needed for diagnostics and performance (typically a limited period — adjust to match your provider settings).

Data recipients / sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share personal data only with authorized processors (e.g., Supabase, Vercel) and when required by law or to protect rights. All processors are contractually bound to protect data.

Your rights under the DSGVO (GDPR)

  • Right of access (Art. 15)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20)
  • Right to object (Art. 21)
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3))
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Contact us at support@link-it.bio. Please include sufficient information to identify yourself and the request. We will respond within statutory timeframes (generally one month).

Security measures

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data (access controls, encryption in transit, limited access based on need). If a data breach occurs we will follow legal notification obligations.

Consequences of not providing data

If you do not provide required personal data (for example an email address for newsletter signup), we cannot perform the related service.

Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or significantly affects you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in practice, law, or services. We will publish the updated policy here and, where required, notify you.
